Micheal Collura is a revolutionary in the healthcare sector, an adept an intuitive entrepreneur, he is redefining patient-care in the contemporary world.
The outset of his journey
Bowes In Home Care was founded by Mary Ann Bowes in 2004. In 2010, Mary Ann sought out Michael Collura, a locally well-known and respected entrepreneur. Later that year, Michael purchased Bowes from Mary Ann in October of 2010. Collura’s hard work and dedication has built the brand to where it is today. Under Collura’s leadership Bowes has not only developed clinical care programs that have upheld their individuality in the industry, but also worked to improve on what quality patient care means as well as what being a respected care provider is about.
A man of values
The clinical leadership today is the perfect example of Collura’s vision for Bowes. Collura cares about the patient above all else. At the clinic, they work to ensure safety and quality care to those that trust the brands clinical providers. They don’t compromise on values and will not back down to any challenge. This is what they’ve learned from the pandemic.
The portfolio of services they offer
Bowes provides home health care services under Medicare, Medicaid, private insurances and veterans benefits. Bowes brings not only its own team of nurses, therapists, social workers and home health aides to your home to provide the care you need. They have an impressive pool of resources from partner providers which complete a full spectrum care approach for the patient in the comfort of their own home.
“Patients before Profits”
Their unwavering commitment defines their high ideals of duty, purity and truth. At Bowes, they believe in patients before profits. Honour and integrity before popularity. Leadership may steer the mission, but it is the team of hands-on front-line providers that make us the brand we are today.
Creating an Impact
Bowes believes that they have certainly made an impact unto itself by not allowing those values to be compromised no matter the criticism, the consequence or the toxic behaviour. Bowes stands firm in its singular belief that the mission for patient care matters above all else.
Recognised and Accredited
In 2022, the current clinical leadership team at Bowes which took over at the start of the pandemic in early 2020 have achieved the highest level of recognition in the industry across the nation. Bowes In Home Care is now accredited by the Joint Commission. An achievement for the clinical leadership at Bowes and a testament to the quality of the agency’s operation and patient care.
Post-pandemic
Collura feels that nothing has changed, they are still doing what they’ve done all along, prioritising their patients and that’s what they’ll continue to do. He believes that no virus will ever stop that.
